Major Crash Kills 1, Injures 3

A man is dead and three people, including a child, are injured after a Saturday collision in Clarion County. It was about 8:15 on Saturday night when two vehicles collided on Route 28 in Redbank Township. 41 year old David Anthony of Mayport was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed when his SUV rolled over. Mr and Mrs John and Rachel Himes and a 10 year old child were all injured when their vehicle hit an embankment after the initial collision.


Senate Considers Extension to Preservation Tax Credit

In Harrisburg the Senate Finance Committee approved a bill to increase and extend the Preservation Incentive Tax Credit program. The bill is sponsored by State Senator David Argall and extends the historic preservation tax credit until 2030 and raises its cap to as high as $30 million. The tax credit is meant to fight urban blight by incentivising the preservation and reconstruction of historic sites and is currently schedule to end next year.


Contractor Charged with Fraud

Chuck Shepard of Harmonsburg has been charged with Home Improvement Fraud, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Receiving Stolen Property. He was allegedly hired last June to complete renovations on a home in Saegertown and accepted cash payments and hardware store gift cards for contractor work he never completed. His victim was defrauded of almost $10,000.


Cambridge Springs Woman Facing Assault Charges

A 30 year old Cambridge Springs woman is to be arraigned on charges of Harassment and Simple Assault today after allegedly attacking a 30 year old man. She’s accused of punching a Cambridge Springs man in the back of the head multiple times after an argument and causing him injury.


PennDOT Work Schedule’s Published

PennDOT’s work schedule for the week of May 13th to 17th includes nighttime lane restrictions of Interstate 90 in Springfield Township, Erie County and closures on Miller Hill Road in Warren County. A complete schedule can be found here on our website.
