A 23-year-old Meadville man was arrested on Friday night after threatening the customer of a bar in Conneaut Lake. Authorities say the unnamed man threatened the customer with a handgun in the bar’s parking lot sometime around 12:30AM on Saturday, June 18th, that he was a convicted felon not permitted to carry a firearm, and had arrest warrants from multiple agencies. The arrestee is now lodged at Crawford County Jail.

State Representative Parke Wentling will be holding a hard to read license plate event at the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department on Monday, July 18th. An officer from the Jamestown Police department will be on hand to check license plates for damage to make sure they are legible and direct you to the proper channels to get a cost free replacement if they’re not. Pennsylvania’s Senators approved a bill to require insurance to cover testing for tick-related illnesses like Lyme Disease; PA leads the nation in yearly diagnosis of tick-borne diseases. SB 1188 passed the chamber without a dissenting vote and will be reviewed in the PA House of Representatives.
