Special Election for Nesbit’s Seat Announced

Pennsylvania’s Speaker of the House has announced a special election date of March 17th to find a replacement for former State Representative Tedd Nesbit. Nesbit represented portions of Mercer and Butler County but vacated his seat on January 2nd to serve as a judge. March 17th will also see special elections to replace two other reps in other parts of the state.

 

PA State Police Adds Online Reports

The Pennsylvania State Police will now be making the same Public Information Release Reports we use for our news broadcasts online for the public to see. Scans of the documents will be available to view online for 45 days after their initial release at psp.pa.gov and click the icon that says ‘For Media’.

 

Scarnettie Re-Elected PA Senate Leader

The Pennsylvania State Senate has re-elected Republican Joe Scarnetti to serve as its President Pro-Tempore for 2020. After re-election to the position Scarnetti struck a bipartisan tone while addressing his colleagues and urged members of both parties to work together to serve the residents of Pennsylvania. The President Pro-Tempore serves as the leader of Senate business and debate in place of the Lt. Governor.
