An arrest has been made in connection to the November 3rd homicide death of Joseph Detello of Meadville. Another Meadville man, 31-year-old John Henry Jr., has been arrested in Columbus, Ohio and charged with the killing; he is waiting for extradition into Mercer County where investigators say the actual crime scene was located. Authorities believe that Henry killed Joseph on North Cottage Road in Jackson Township, Mercer County, and then left his body near Slippery Rock in Lawrence County.
Joseph Detello was discovered unresponsive near his vehicle on Young Road in Slippery Rock Township by a witness who thought he was having car trouble. The witness attempted CPR, called 911, and was joined by two other passers-by, but Joseph was declared dead when emergency services arrived. The next day after an autopsy the death was ruled a homicide.
