An Emlenton man is being held without bail after calling police to tell them he shot another man to death over a hunting dispute. According to a press release by the Pennsylvania State Police David Heathcote admits that he shot and killed Robert Wingard while he was sitting in his car at about 8PM Saturday night while the two were arguing about hunting. According to Heathcote, Wingard threatened to harm his daughter during their argument, so he shot him.

This Friday in Downtown Meadville is a special first Friday called Night of Giving. As part of the usual First Friday activities, there will also be an event to stuff a Meadville City Police Cruiser full of supplies to help the Center for Family Services. The event will happen at the Meadville City Building in Diamond Park from 5-8 PM; organizers are hoping for donations of clean and functional winter gear, laundry detergent, toilet paper and paper towels, diapers, and more; cash donations are also welcomed and appreciated.
