The body of a missing Pittsburgh area woman was discovered in Crawford County Friday morning. The remains of missing woman Emily Alyse Stalter from Castle Shannon were found in West Mead Township at around 8AM on Friday morning; according to officers from the Pennsylvania State Police and Crawford County Coroner Scott Schell, the cause of death was suicide. Emily was declared missing on Wednesday, October 12th, and her car was discovered in West Mead Township a few days later, but a planned weekend search for her was canceled after she apparently contacted a family member; by Friday the 21st she was found dead not far from where her vehicle was discovered.
