Another fatal crash is being investigated near the boundary of Erie and Crawford Counties. This time a commercial vehicle heading to Spartansburg yesterday morning; it failed to negotiate a right hand turn at the intersection where Routes 77 and 89 meet the terminus of Canadohta Lake Road and rolled onto its driver’s side. A 61-year-old man driving the vehicle, Richard Darges of Pittsburgh, was declared dead by a coroner at the scene of the crash. 

The town of Linesville has recently received approval for more than $6 million in grants and loans from PENNVEST to improve its water infrastructure.  The borough plans to use that money for multiple projects including a new pump station, new tank mixers, and extending water lines along Homestead Avenue.

Less than a month away from the General Election, state Republicans have filed yet another mail-in ballots lawsuit with the State Supreme Court. The new suit challenges a directive from the Department of State which instructs counties that ballots with missing or incorrect dates should still be treated as valid this November.
