A reward is being offered to anyone who can help solve a hit and run crash that left a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander extensively damaged on the driver’s side. The crash happened in Franklin on Monday morning in City Parking Lot B when an unknown driver hit a parked vehicle and kept moving.  Please contact the Franklin City Police at (814)437-1644 if you have information that can help this case.

The Pennsylvania State Police and Mercer County Coroner have identified all five victims of a deadly September 16th house fire in Delaware Township. The remains of the home’s resident Elizabeth Seltzer and three of her children aged between one and six years were identified shortly after the blaze, and the fifth victim has now been identified as 43-year-old Brian Morris of McGaheysville Virginia. Authorities no longer suspect foul play, but continue to investigate the cause of the fire.

A Lawton, Oklahoma man was arrested in Mercer County after authorities say he attempted to strangle a woman in a motel parking lot. On August 30th, the man who court records identify as Hoang Anh Ly, was having an argument in a motel parking lot with a woman he was traveling cross country with when he attacked her; the victim escaped to safety in the motel office and Ly fled the scene but was arrested at a gas station later. Ly pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.

In State News, the body of a woman who went missing in Luzerne County 50 years ago was identified by police. The remains of Joan Marie Diamond were recovered at an abandoned coal mine in 2012 and were identified only recently. Joan was a teenager when she went missing in the 1970s and now the Pennsylvania State Police are opening a murder investigation; they are asking the public for help determining who might be responsible.
