Investigations are underway into two fatal traffic incidents that happened in Erie and Warren Counties over the weekend. At around 5AM Saturday morning an unnamed 24-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle crashed on Highway 20 in Erie County’s Fairview Township and a toxicology examination is being performed as part of the investigation. In Warren County, an investigation is underway into the death of a man named Curtis Higby who was wearing dark clothing and was struck by a pickup truck on Picidilli Hill Road at about 2AM on Sunday.

Yesterday, United States Navy Rear Admiral Thomas Anderson visited the State Capitol to inform Pennsylvania’s lawmakers about the naval ship which will bear the capital city’s name. The USS Harrisburg is a San-Antonio Class amphibious transport ship being constructed in Pascagoula Mississippi; she will be completed in 2024 and expected to enter service a year later. Only one other ship bore the name USS Harrisburg, she was a converted ocean liner that transported United States soldiers in WWI.
