The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the theft of an excavator in Venango County. The theft of the Kubota 250 excavator was reported at about 4:30 in the afternoon on Friday, but may have been stolen at any time between then and Thursday, September 1st; it was taken from a property along Warren Road in Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County. A new Pennsylvania driver’s license design made its debut yesterday at Cumberland County Driver’s License Center and the new design will soon become the new standard within the next two months. PennDOT plans to be distributing the newly designed licenses and IDs at every Driver’s License and Photo Center by mid November. The newly redesigned licenses are enhanced with three extra security features to prevent fraud through counterfeiting and altering ID cards.

In state news, Governor Tom Wolf’s program aimed at providing free breakfast for every public school student will officially begin on October 1st. The Universal Free Breakfast program will ensure breakfast is available at school for more than 1.7 million children and unlike regular lunch and breakfast programs will be available regardless of family income.
