The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the theft of power tools and copper wires from a Penn Power facility in Hartstown. The theft was discovered at about 9:00 yesterday morning; the thief or thieves broke through the gate and removed hundreds of feet of four and six gauge copper coils. According to Crawford County Treasurer Kristine Krzysiak The Crawford County Tax Claim Upset Sale is scheduled for two weeks from tomorrow on Friday, September 23rd. Taxpayers whose property is considered delinquent enough to warrant sale have until Thursday the 22nd to make payment or arrangements with the Tax Claim Bureau, credit or debit card payments must be made by 11PM on Monday, September 19th. Authorities in the Bahamas have identified a Pennsylvania woman killed by a shark attack as Caroline DiPlacido of Erie. Caroline died from injuries she sustained while snorkeling along a reef with her family on a guided tour; she was attacked by a bull shark.
