A single vehicle crash left a victim trapped in a pickup with serious injuries on Sunday morning. According to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police, Daniel Butler of Erie collided with a tree on Route 19 near the town of Waterford after driving into opposing traffic and over-correcting for the error at about 7:30 yesterday morning. Mr. Butler had to be mechanically extracted from his vehicle by firefighters from Perry Highway and Stancliff Hose companies and then airlifted to a hospital.

Fill dirt left over from PennDOT work projects can be obtained free of cost by property owners near work sites if they have an accessible property and fill out an M666 form. In State news, US Highway 20 has been renamed Medal of Honor Highway along its entire length through The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Highway 20 has been recognized as Medal of Honor Highway in nine other states and runs all the way across the country passing through the 12 states, including Pennsylvania, with the highest numbers of Medal of Honor recipients.
