Charges of Welfare fraud were brought against the mayor of the city of Meadville. Records from Pennsylvania Magisterial Court 30-2-01 show Mayor Jaime Kinder was charged on Monday with misdemeanor welfare fraud from August to October 2019. The allegations are that she failed to report the income of another person living in her home and who worked for the city of Meadville at the time; she received $966 in SNAP benefits she would have been ineligible for over that period. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday, September 22nd.
