Three people were airlifted to hospitals after a crash on the interchange between Interstate 80 and Interstate 79 south at about 2:15 yesterday afternoon. The driver of a pickup truck who was towing a camper lost control of their vehicle while driving along the ramp from 80 to 79 and collided with an SUV and the guardrail near mile marker 116. The SUV lost control, overturned, and rolled multiple times. The driver of the truck and both occupants of the SUV were flown by STAT Medevac to separate regional hospitals for the treatment of serious injuries.

State Representative Donna Oberlander is inviting Senior Citizens to attend the annual Nifty 60 Expo at the Clarion Mall. On Friday, August 5th from 10AM to noon, the mall will host a variety of resources for senior citizens 60 years and older, there will be door prizes and catered lunch for attendees at this free event. Representatives from a wide range of organizations, agencies, and businesses will be available to offer information on a wide range of topics such as healthcare and insurance, financial planning, hunting and fishing, and more.

Pennsylvania’s Department of Labor has finished its unemployment figures for the month of June; unemployment has gone down another 10th of a percent to 4.5% which is the lowest rate since 2019. 21,000 nonfarm jobs were added in June and the unemployment rate has steadily decreased by about a 10th of a percent each month all year and is 2.1% lower than it was in 2021.
