The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the theft of an engine in Venango County’s Rockland Township. A 240 cc Honda motor was taken from an oil well on private property behind Seneca Hardwoods sometime between the 1st and 11th of this month. Pennsylvania State Rep Parke Wentling is hosting an event to help area residents replace damaged and illegible license plates at no cost. The Hard to Read License Plate event takes place next Monday, July 18th at Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department. An officer from Jamestown PD will check the license plate of your vehicle from a distance of 50 feet and if they determine that the plate is damaged or hard to read Wentling’s staff will help you get a replacement. Specialty license plates are not eligible for this service. Register for attendance by calling (814)382-7200.
