The Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a missing teenage girl in our area. Her parents last saw 15-year-old Vanessa Peterson of Harborcreek on Tuesday, June 7th, her last known whereabouts were at a residence on Clark Road in Harborcreek Township, Erie County. Vanessa is 15 years old, has a slight build, blue eyes, and light brown or dirty blonde hair. Anybody with information please call the Pennsylvania State Police in Erie at (814)898-1641. 

Nearly $400,000 of grant money to help local organizations provide affordable housing was awarded in Crawford and Erie Counties. In Crawford County, the Center for Family Services received $150,000 for its program to find housing for people being released from Crawford County Jail and SCI Cambridge Springs. $120,000 was granted to the Erie County Department of Human Services to support a winter homeless shelter and $75,000 for Erie Dawn to provide homeless women with a place to stay and support to get them to independence. In Mercer County, $40,000 were awarded to the Community Action Partnership of Mercer County for its Assets Match Program.  The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency approved the grants through the Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Reenhancement Program.
