The Pennsylvania State Police have charged Angela Florentino with a felony in relation to a hit and run crash on Saturday, May 21st. Authorities allege that Florentino struck a 10-year-old child that was riding a motorized bike as he attempted to turn around at the intersection of Kennerdell and Seneca Hemlock Roads and continued driving. She has been charged with the felony of causing an accident involving death or personal injury and summary charges including reckless driving.

A bill authored and sponsored by a local State Representative for Venango and Butler Counties, Lee James, passed the PA House by unanimous consent yesterday. James’s House Bill 2265 would improve the oversight of certified economic development organizations in Pennsylvania and is now under review by the Senate.

Leigh Chapman, Pennsylvania’s acting Secretary of State, declared an automatic recount of the Republican Senate Primary yesterday, the recount begins on Friday and ends on Wednesday, June 8th. At press time celebrity Doctor Mehmet Oz has a 908 vote lead over Hedgefund CEO David McCormick, with over 1 million votes cast in the race the lead falls well below the 0.5% lead that is required by a candidate in Pennsylvania to be considered a clear win.
