There will be a recount for the GOP Senate Primary Race. As of yesterday, the final ballot count has Dr. Mehmet Oz leading former Hedge Fund CEO Dave McCormick in the Republican Senate primary by a mere 987 votes; PA law subjects such a narrow margin to an automatic recount that should be resolved by June 8th. Yesterday McCormick appealed to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to allow an unknown number of mail-in ballots without dates next to their signatures to be counted; his campaign has had an edge over Dr. Oz on the absentee vote. Over 500,000 ballots were cast for each candidate in the election.
