A Mercer County man named John Barlow was arrested by the Pennsylvania State Police yesterday after a short, but intense, manhunt. Barlow, 58, was wanted by authorities on multiple warrants and state police troopers from Mercer attempted to apprehend him at about 8:30 Sunday morning. Barlow drove away from police in a pickup truck and took his vehicle offroad after a short highway chase. Soon after an officer on foot was forced to discharge his weapon as Barlow apparently tried to run him over. Barlow escaped again but was later arrested at a campground in Butler County at around 6 PM Sunday evening.

Lt. Governor John Fetterman spent the weekend recovering at Lancaster General Hospital after a stroke. The Democratic Senate candidate had an emergency operation to remove a blood clot on Friday and is expected to make a full recovery with no loss of cognitive function; he may potentially attend campaign events today and tomorrow.
