Starting on Monday April 4th the Pennsylvania State Police and state police troops from five other states will be stepping up enforcement of distracted driving laws on Interstate Highways. Along with Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, and Indiana; Pennsylvania’s Police Troopers will be on the watch for drivers talking or texting on their phones, wearing headphones or earbuds, and other not driving related activities while their cars are in motion. The Special enforcement period will end on April 11th.
Both of Pennsylvania’s United States Senators have weighed in on their thoughts about Supreme Court Nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson. Bob Casey has said he will vote for Jackson to take a SCOTUS seat and supported her nomination. Pat Toomey called her smart with an impressive legal and academic background, but has not indicated how he will vote on her confirmation. The Senate may vote as early as next week.
