Authorities are searching for Zachary Ronald Thompson of Titusville. Thompson is a 27 year old white male, 5’8” tall with a medium build, dirty blond hair, and blue eyes. He is wanted in connection with four vehicle thefts in Crawford County this year and is a suspect in several other crimes in Crawford, Erie, Warren, and Venango Counties; warrants for his arrest have been issued by both the Pennsylvania State Police and Crawford County Adult Probation. It has been advised by family and friends that Thompson is strung out on heroin and he is known to have ties in Erie, Crawford, and Warren Counties as well as Conneaut Ohio.  Anybody with information on the whereabouts of Zachary Ronald Thompson should call the Pennsylvania State Police at (814)332-6911, if you encounter Thompson dial 911.

Celebrity doctor and candidate for United States Senate in Pennsylvania Dr. Mehmet Oz has been removed from the Presidential Council on Sports Fitness and Nutrition after refusing to step down. Dr. Oz along with a Senate Candidate in Georgia were both asked to resign from their positions on the advisory council in accordance with the federal law known as the Hatch Act which in part prevents special government employees like advisors from running for partisan office. Oz made a statement that he had been appointed by President Donald Trump in 2018 and had no intention of resigning from the council after receiving a request from President Joe Biden to resign from the Presidential Council of Sports Fitness and Nutrition.

In Erie County a 17 year old girl whose name is withheld because she is a minor was arrested on charges of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, harassment, and possession of a firearm by a minor. According to Harborcreek School District, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Erie County District Attorney’s Office the girl was sending threatening photographs over social media to a boy in her school.

Albion Animal Center will be holding a one year rabies vaccine clinic at Conneautville Fire Department from 10AM until Noon on Saturday, April 9th. The clinic is for dogs and cats and shots are being provided at the discounted rate of $10 per pet. The clinic is cash only and pets must be on a leash or in a pet carrier.

Pennsylvania’s Auditor General, Timothy DeFoor, has announced that his office will no longer be performing school audits on behalf of the Department of Education. The Auditor General says this move will make his department more efficient and effective. The Auditor General’s office has been performing school audits as a favor to the Department of Education for decades.
