A motorcycle crash left a Venango County teenager hospitalized with suspected severe injuries yesterday evening. According to crash scene investigators a 15 year old rider on a dirt bike was taken to Children’s Hospital via helicopter after losing their balance and falling on Oleopolis Road in Cornplanter Township just before 6PM yesterday evening. 

Collegiate accreditation agency Middle States Commission has given its initial approval for the merger of Clarion, Edinboro, and California Universities into the single entity known as Pennsylvania Western University, or Pennwest for short.  Earning accreditation is one of the final processes needed to ensure a proper merger between the three schools by July 1st this year.

According to the latest job reports, Pennsylvania is making an economic rebound from COVID-19, at least as far as employment is concerned. Unemployment is at its lowest point since March of 2020 at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic; almost 80% of all jobs lost during the pandemic have been recouped. Unemployment in Pennsylvania has decreased to 5.4% down from a pandemic high around 17% and is steadily on the decline.
