The Pennsylvania State Police, US Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force, and SWAT Teams from Erie and Millcreek Police Departments announced the arrest of Jason Csorba (Sorba) after a five hour standoff with the authorities in Lake City yesterday morning. Authorities were serving a warrant for aggravated assault with a firearm and believed Csorba to be armed and dangerous; negotiators were able to convince Csorba to surrender without violence after tear gas failed to force him out of his home.

PennDOT has once again announced multiple road closures due to flooding and high water. At press time Nebraska Road remains closed in Forest County, and new closures were announced in Crawford, Warren, Mercer, and Erie Counties; PennDOT is also prepared to issue highway restrictions once Winter Storm Oaklee reaches our region. In a 4-3 decision the Pennsylvania Supreme Court picked a new federal congressional district map after The General Assembly and Governor Tom Wolf could not reach a compromise. The new map splits our region between the 15th and 16h congressional districts; Erie, Crawford, Mercer, Lawrence, and Butler Counties will be entirely in the 16th district, while Warren and Clarion will reside in the 15th; Venango County will be split with about two thirds in the 15th district and the remainder in the 16th.
