Authorities in Venango County are investigating a burglary which took place in Sugarcreek on Friday, January 21st. At about 7:30 that evening the victim came home to discover that someone had broken in and taken his 65” Hisense television, an Apple iPad, and a PlayStation 4. A week prior in Sugarcreek, on the 14th, a female victim had a safe removed from her home, but these investigations are not related. Free drive through COVID-19 testing at the Crawford County Fairgrounds runs from 9AM to 6PM Monday to Friday this week. The Fairgrounds are located at 13291 Dickson Road, Meadville; no appointment is necessary, just drive in through Gate 1. The results of these free PCR tests will take as many as four days.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf is preparing to present his final budget proposal to the General Assembly soon; he has recently been touting the fact that around $3 billion has been added to the Commonwealth’s rainy day fund during his two terms as governor.
