The Pennsylvania State Police in Venango County have released another update on their investigation into the death of Peter Benardo Spencer of Pittsburgh, the 29 year old Jamaican immigrant who was shot multiple times one month ago Investigators are still awaiting the results of toxicology reports on the victim and all four individuals who were at the crime scene and they are also awaiting ballistics reports on multiple weapons that were located at the scene, which is a hunting camp. In a written press release yesterday the Pennsylvania State Police will not entertain any requests for interviews, but that once the investigation is complete there will be a joint press conference with Venango County District Attorney Shawn White. The PSP noted that they are committed to seeking justice for all parties and that anybody with information on the December 12th shooting is urged to call Trooper Andrew Hagan at (814)676-6596.
Investigators in Philadelphia released preliminary findings in their investigation into a house fire which killed a dozen people including 9 children. The fire’s point of origin was a live Christmas tree where Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel says a young child admits to having played nearby with a lighter. Thiel also confirmed seven fire detectors in the building were not working, most of them did not even have a battery inside.
