Police in Erie County found themselves in an armed standoff with a 55 year old Lake City man on Sunday evening. Robert Prebehalla barricaded himself inside a home with two women that he held as hostages after police responded to a domestic disturbance call shortly after 6:30 Sunday night. Concerned by a witness statement that he was possibly armed with a handgun, state troopers waited for a SERT team which apprehended Prebehalla without incident. Prebehalla was remitted to Erie County Jail and will be arraigned on official charges through District Court 06-3-08.
