Clarion County authorities believe that an 85 year old woman found deceased after a structure fire in Leeper died an accidental death. The woman, whose identity was not revealed, was discovered inside the remains of a home along Route 66 in Farmington Township just before 10AM Sunday morning after a volunteer fire company had extinguished a fire. Clarion County Coroner Daniel Shingledecker and Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshalls determined the fire was not deliberate. The investigation has not been closed as of press time.

The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court has changed course on granting a stay on their decision about the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s mask mandate in schools. Yesterday Commonwealth Court Judge Christine Cannon decreed that even with an appeal to the state’s Supreme Court the mask mandate must end in a little more than two weeks by December 4th.

With a party line vote the Pennsylvania State House Health Committee approved a proposed amendment to the state constitution to end vaccine mandates. The party line tally was 15 for to 10 against; republicans argue that such an amendment would establish medical freedom as a fundamental right and prevent discrimination based on personal choices while democrats point out that this could endanger public health.
