The Pennsylvania State Police are looking for witnesses who can help identify a man who stole a 2018 Dodge Ram pickup as it was idling in the parking lot of Country Fair in Mckean at about 3:25 PM on Sunday November 14th. The suspect was described as a white male in his 20’s or 30’s wearing black shoes with white stripes, a black hat, and two hoodies – one black and one purple. The truck was recovered in Millcreek Township, Erie County and anybody who can provide information should call the Pennsylvania State Police in Girard at (814)774-9611.

The Mercer State Police toy drive runs until December 10th. During this time the station’s lobby will have a drop box for new and unwrapped toy donations which benefit the Children’s Aid Society of Mercer. The Mercer State Police are located on 826 Franklin Road in Mercer, PA 16137.

In state news a Philadelphia councilman and a union business manager were both convicted of multiple federal crimes. A federal jury determined that Councilman Bobby Henon was accepting $70,000 a year from John Dougherty of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 98 in exchange for control of his vote. Dougherty is also facing trial for the embezzlement of $600,000 from the labor union. Sentencing is scheduled for February and both men plan to appeal.
