Authorities in Erie county report a fatal motor vehicle crash in Leboeuf Township on Monday evening. Crash scene investigators report that 67 year old John Monn died at UPMC Hamot of injuries sustained shortly before 7PM on Monday, November 8th at the intersection of Wheelertown Road and Flatts Road. According to them Monn failed to stop at an intersection and was hit by another vehicle then collided with a tree.

More than half a million dollars in Neighborhood Assistance Projects grant money was awarded to organizations in Clarion and Forest Counties. Clarion County Adventures plans to use its funding for the Multi-Generational Community Park project, while the Redbank Valley Historical Society will use its funds to upgrade its headquarters at the former First National Bank building.  The Multi-Generational Community Park Project aims to create new recreational areas for everyone from elder adults to young children. Redbank Valley Historical Society’s project entitled New Bethlehem Health and Heritage initiative will help turn their headquarters in a space where they can hold educational meetings and exhibits, genealogical research, and more. Second Harvest Food Bank also received about $534,000 in grants.

By unanimous vote Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives approved HB 1563, to modernize Pennsylvania’s sharing of medical records with the drug addiction treatment programs. The bill goes to the senate and if passed will put Pennsylvania at the same standards as 47 other states. The hope is will improve health outcomes for rehabilitation projects.
