In state news, a republican legislator has plans to submit a bill that could require every registered voter in Pennsylvania to have to register again. PA State Rep. Russ Diamond proposed a bill to postpone the 2022 primary election until August based on concerns about being unable to finalize legislative districts by March of next year. His proposal also includes an attempt to prevent the current voter registration data from being added to the next upgrade to Pennsylvania’s Statewide Uniform Registry of Electors (SURE) system, which would require all 9 million registered voters in Pennsylvania to register again.
