A woman is dead and a man severely injured after they were hit by a train in Erie on Friday afternoon. The pair were hit by a train while walking on the tracks near West 12th Street in Erie at about 2:15 PM on Friday, October 29th. Authorities say the man reported that he and the woman heard the signal warning of an incoming train and switched to the opposite tracks when they were hit.

Polls are open from 7AM to 8PM.
