A New York man was hospitalized last weekend after a collision with a deer on Interstate 90 in Fairview Township, Erie County. Rodney Taylor of Buffalo was transported to UPMC Hamot for the treatment of injuries sustained after colliding with a deer which dashed across the interstate from the south. The collision killed the animal and disabled Taylor’s Buick.

Clarion Hospital is now offering both Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine booster shots at their clinic on 1 Hospital Drive in Clarion. Boosters are approved for healthcare workers, adults 65 and older, residents of care homes, and adults 18 to 64 with underlying health conditions. Patients are eligible for boosters six months after a Pfizer or Moderna shot, or as little as two after a Johnson & Johnson shot. Pennsylvania’s House Health Committee is turning to the Commonwealth Court to appeal the Committee on Documents decision to uphold a school mask mandate after making a 15 to 10 decision along party lines yesterday. Committee Chair Kathy Rapp is convinced that the mask mandate did not follow the proper process outlined in the Pennsylvania Constitution.
