It was reported earlier this week that two men and a woman, all from Titusville, were arrested by the Pennsylvania State Police after an altercation near Centerville in late September. Names were not revealed, but they are accused of entering a 21 year old man’s house and struggling with him over control of a firearm. All three are charged with trespassing and one faces charges of burglary, assault, and strangulation.

Two PennDOT employees in District 1 have been awarded the Star of Excellence. Mark Nicholson is the District 1 Bridge Engineer who led projects to quickly replace two bridges damaged by collision on Interstate 90 in less than a year. Zachary Miles is the assistant manager for Mercer County who is a key part in improving the County’s efficiency in remaining within its budget.

Yesterday Pennsylvania hit a new and grim COVID-19 milestone when it surpassed 30,000 total deaths since March 18th of 2020. The state has recently seen more than 4,000 new cases of COVID-19 a day, the vast majority among unvaccinated residents. About 70% of all adults in the commonwealth are vaccinated.
