63 year old Joseph Click of Wattsburg was arrested Saturday and charged with DUI after allegedly injuring a toddler with his vehicle. According to the Pennsylvania State Police based in Corry, Click was under the influence of alcohol while backing his car up when he ran over the foot of a 2 year old child and then fled the scene. A press release states that Click pulled forward after his car made contact with the child, hesitated, and then drove away.
Meadville Medical Center is running two COVID-19 vaccination clinics at the old Meadville City Hall on 984 Water Street this week. On Wednesday, October 13th and Saturday, October 16th Meadville Medical Center will be offering first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine at no cost to any individual ages 12 and up; MMC is now offering a third booster shot to all qualifying individuals as well. The Pennsylvania House Veterans and Emergency Preparedness Committee will soon be reviewing a proposal to amend the state constitution to exempt the surviving spouses of disabled veterans from property taxes. As a proposed amendment the bill must pass through the general assembly twice and then be voted on by the public.
