The Pennsylvania State Police based in Meadville are searching for a stolen pickup truck that may have been spray painted to avoid detection. The stolen truck is a 2002 single cab Chevrolet 1500 which was stolen at some time between Friday October 1st and Monday the 4th while parked at a home in Rockdale Township, Crawford County. Originally with a red colored cab and a tan bed, the truck may have been spray painted black or dark blue; its license plate number is ZSH5986. The company building the Mariner East 2 Pipeline is facing dozens of criminal charges related to dumping toxic chemicals into drinking water. Pennsylvania’s Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced yesterday that Energy Transfer Company has been charged with 48 environmental crimes, 45 of them over spilling drilling chemicals into waterways. Energy Transfer Company has been building the Mariner East 2 natural gas pipeline in 17 counties across Southern Pennsylvania and using horizontal drilling techniques in several of them; according to the findings of a grand jury Energy Transfer has failed to report multiple chemical spills to the Department of Environmental Protection. According to AG Shapiro  more than 80,000 gallons of drilling chemicals were spilled into Marsh Creek Lake in Chester County alone and went unreported by the company. Construction on the Pipeline has been fraught with problems and delays.

The number of all electric vehicles owned by Pennsylvanians could possibly double this year according to PennDOT Policy Director Natasha Fackler. The number of electric powered cars registered in Pennsylvania was 17,000 in February and according to PennDOT at least 7,000 EVs were purchased within the first six months of 2021.
