Franklin’s 38th annual Applefest begins today and runs through the entire weekend. Applefest begins with an Apple Pancake Breakfast at St. Patrick School from 6AM – 11AM and the main Applefest attractions are open 10AM – 6PM on Friday and Saturday and 5PM on Sunday. On Wednesday the Pennsylvania House of Representatives passed HB 1350, authored by Representative Lee James of Venango and Butler counties, which creates a consistent set of rules between the administration of townships and boroughs across the commonwealth.
