The CDC recently adjusted its assessment of community transmission of COVID-19 in our region. Crawford and Warren Counties are considered high transmission areas while Erie, Venango, Clarion and Mercer are listed as substantial. Forest County is one of only two remaining counties with a moderate transmission risk in the state. The CDC recommends even vaccinated adults wear a mask in public indoor spaces in substantial and high transmission areas.
The 75th Crawford County Fair opens tomorrow at 8:30AM. This year’s Diamond Jubilee for the fair has no gate fee, it’s free to enter, and will not be featuring any rides; instead focusing on its agricultural roots. Planned events include live music, truck and tractor pulls, fireworks, the crowning of the Fair Queen, the Future Farmers of America Livestock Auction, and plans to close with the traditional demolition derby.
