The Pennsylvania State Police based in Franklin are investigating the theft of over $1,000 in cash which was stolen from slot machines over the weekend. One or more criminal actors broke into the River Ridge Golf Course between the early morning hours of Saturday the 17th and the afternoon of Monday the 19th and forced their way into three of the machines to steal about $1,233 from inside. Representative Donna Oberlander’s Nifty 60 Expo returns to the Clarion Mall in two week’s time. On Friday August 6th from 10AM until noon the Clarion Mall will play host to representatives from a variety of businesses, agencies, and organizations that offer services for senior citizens. The exposition will feature door prizes and a complimentary lunch is also planned.

 

In State News Pennsylvania State Representative Margo Davidson has resigned after the state’s Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced criminal charges being levied against her. Davidson was a Democrat from the Philadelphia area and has been charged with stealing from the commonwealth by making fraudulent charges to her expense account. Shapiro, also a democrat, has charged her with theft, election code violations, and solicitation to avoid arrest.
