PennDOT will be closing the park and ride at Saegertown Exit 154 on Interstate 79 in Crawford County for routine maintenance; the project is expected to take five days. PennDOT is also stressing that motorists exercise caution in work zones after three separate incursions have ended up in a collision with PennDOT crash vehicles already this year. Former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge is recovering in a Washington DC hospital after a stroke. Our information has him resting after a successful procedure to remove a blood clot last Wednesday. Ridge served as a congressman from Erie and then Pennsylvania’s Governor from 1995 to 2001 before becoming the first Secretary of Homeland Security.

 

The director of Pennsylvania’s PACE Program, Thomas Snedden, wants to increase the income limits of the program by $6,000. In a recent update about the program to the PA House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee, Snedden said it would increase enrollment by about 20,000 seniors.
