According to the Pennsylvania State Police, two 27 year old women were airlifted from a crash scene in Victory Township, Venango County after a pickup truck rolled onto its side. The two women were not wearing seatbelts while traveling along Fisherman’s Cove Road and the driver lost control of her Dodge Ram after hitting potholes, causing it to end up in a ditch and roll onto its passenger side.

 

Two major announcements came from Conneaut Lake Park’s new ownership last weekend. On Saturday it was announced that the popular Tumble Bug ride was just too unique to be repaired and was going to be dismantled; it’s cars would be used as decorations in the park. A second announcement came Sunday that they still had much work to do, and would not be able to meet their Memorial Day opening goal; the new plan is an opening by July 4th.

 

After four years of court battles former Penn State University President Graham Spanier has run out of appeals and has been ordered by a judge to serve his sentence for Child Endangerment starting July 9th. Spanier was President of PSU at the same time then assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky is convicted of sexually assaulting young boys on campus and was convicted of Child Endangerment in 2017 after it came to light that he knew about the assaults happening. His sentence is only 4 months, two months to be served in a county jail and an additional two months of house arrest.
