The Pennsylvania State Police will be holding a Child Safety Seat Check at the Seneca Volunteer Fire Department on Monday May 24th. From 3PM-8PM certified Child Safety Seat Technicians will be on hand to answer questions, offer advice, and check for proper installation of safety seats. On Election Day Pennsylvania State Senator Dan Laughlin announced he was introducing a new bill to change Pennsylvania’s primary elections. Senator Laughlin’s bill seeks to change the primaries from a closed to an open election process, allowing Pennsylvania’s hundreds of thousands of independent and third party registered citizens to vote in either the Republican or Democratic primary each year.
Pennsylvania’s legislators are considering a two year delay to a plan that would integrate the administrations of Clarion, Edinboro, and California Universities. The question came up after a Senate hearing took testimony from students about the lack of information about what it means for them, but a decision on whether to proceed immediately may not come until July.
