Several accidents at home have required the attention of the Pennsylvania State Police over the last few days. In Venango County on Sunday troopers responded to an accidental death on Main Street in Emlenton when a 64 year old man suffered a fatal injury after falling onto the sidewalk. In Erie County, a Fairview man was injured Monday after accidentally discharging a gun he was cleaning. Also on Monday, in Crawford County, troopers helped EMTs at the scene of an opioid overdose in Woodcock Township.
Members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly want an investigation into the privacy practices of Insight Global, one of the companies handling COVID-19 contact tracing. News broke last Thursday that the personal information of more than 70,000 PA residents was available on the internet after answering calls from Insight in this capacity.
Memorial Day, which falls on Monday, May 31st, is planned as the day that all COVID-19 business restrictions will be lifted across the State of Pennsylvania. More than half of all adults in Pennsylvania will be vaccinated by that time, the mask mandate will stay in place until at least 70% of adults are vaccinated.
