Pennsylvania’s Department of Health has joined with the federal government in putting a temporary stop to the distribution to the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine after six women around the nation developed a rare blood clotting disorder. The measure is out of an abundance of caution while the incidents are investigated; there have been no major adverse reactions in over 260,000 J&J vaccines given across the State. If you have received a Johnson and Johnson vaccine within the last three weeks and experience a severe headache, leg or abdomen pain, or unexpected shortness of breath please consult with your healthcare provider.
