In the City of Meadville police are investigating reports of multiple gunshots fired near the intersection of Pine and Liberty Streets at around 2:30 Saturday morning. Multiple shell casings were discovered at the scene as well as bullet strikes to a parked car and a house, but the investigation has turned up no injuries and no other leads. In Venango County State Troopers based in Franklin are investigating a burglary of the home of a 67 year old Seneca man. While the man was hospitalized an unknown male entered his property and stole multiple items worth more than $2,000. An investigation is ongoing. Stolen items include a crossbow, a Rigid brand reciprocating saw, a Nakita bran reciprocating saw, a machete, a Rigid brand battery pack, an impact driver, a hand held router, a glass jar full of approximately $10 in change, and $1,000 worth of .22 caliber bullets.

 

Meadville Medical Center is holding a clinic for the first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday March 31st and Friday April 2nd this week.
