A fatal car crash was reported in Venango County on Friday morning. Investigators say that at about 8AM on February the 5th, 32 year old Kyle Nulph of Franklin was not wearing his seatbelt while traveling west through Canal Township on Route 322. Kyle is believed to have lost control on an icy patch of roadway and his TrailBlazer collided with a roadside tree. Venango County Coroner Christina Rugh declared him dead at the scene.


Edinboro University is celebrating its award of a $35,000 grant from Philip’s Charitable Trust to help improve its facilities at its nursing department. The money will be going toward a pediatric nursing simulator which will help provide students in the nursing program with hands-on experience caring for newborns in a manner safe for everyone.


The Pennsylvania House of Representatives has finished the process to put an amendment to the state constitution on the May 18th primary election ballot. The amendment would make changes to the Governor’s power to declare a state of emergency, changing the length to only 21 days and requiring the legislature to approve any extensions. Currently, a state of Emergency lasts 90 days and can be renewed by the Governor indefinitely.
