A third Pennsylvania resident faces charges related to the January 6th riot at Capitol Hill. Barton Shively of Mechanicsburg turned himself in to the FBI and admitted his part in crossing the barricades around the capitol during the riot and also confessed to assaulting police officers; saying he punched one and pushed multiple. Two other Pennsylvania Residents are in FBI custody in relation to the riot, Riley June Williams who claimed on social media to have stolen a congresswoman’s computer, and Robert Sanford who allegedly assaulted three Capitol Police officers with a fire extinguisher.

 

Pennsylvania’s Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar and other election officials are to testify Before the House State Government Committee today at 2pm. The committee is holding a hearing on the 2020 election to determine if a further audit of the results is necessary.

 

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported the third highest ever death toll from COVID-19 yesterday with 401 new deaths added to the total. Health officials did caution that some of the casualties were likely unreported deaths from Monday as some county health departments were closed for MLK Day.
