Due to COVID-19 Penncrest School District has revised its plan to begin in person schooling on Monday, January 11th and instead continue with a hybrid schedule until the 26th. Also on Monday the 11th Crawford Central School District plans to switch to a hybrid learning schedule and Titusville School District ends an all remote learning schedule and begins a hybrid schedule. Conneaut School District continues a hybrid schedule which began in December last year. Crawford County has recorded 5,144 cases of COVID-19 since March which has led to at least 92 deaths; a majority of which happened in November and December. Statewide there have been more than 616,000 cases and 17,000 deaths from COVID. Influenza has not yet become an epidemic in Pennsylvania, so far four months into the flu season there are only 1,323 confirmed cases leading to 18 hospitalizations and seven deaths.
