COVID-19 cases are growing explosively across the United States of America, the CDC has reported more than 1 million new cases of the disease were recorded within the first ten days of the month of November. Pennsylvania had its highest positive test rate on Tuesday, November 10th with 4,711 new confirmed cases of COVID and 59 deaths. Crawford and Erie counties also saw record high cases on that date; 49 new cases in Crawford and 92 in Erie, and Venango County saw its largest single day increase on election day. Due to rapid spread Titusville School District will be switching to its hybrid learning model on Monday November 16th, joining the County’s three other school districts in switching between remote and in person learning. Oil City School District is moving from a hybrid schooling plan, which it began on Monday, to entirely remote learning next Monday on November the 16th. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has recorded about 230,000 cases of COVID-19 since March, leading to 9,145 deaths.
