On Thursday October 1st PennDOT once again extended the expiration date on Commercial Driver’s Licenses (or CDL) and Learner’s Permits, and on Hazardous Materials Endorsements. Any CDL license or permit with an expiration date after March 16th is extended until November the 29th, and any Hazardous Materials Endorsement expiring after March 6th is extended until October 29th. PennDOT work schedules in Northwest Pennsylvania for October 5th are published online at PennDOT.gov/District1 and Clarion County is in District 10.

 

Another October deadline looms for anyone who hasn’t received their Federal COVID-19 stimulus payment. If you receive public assistance or do not file income taxes and have not received a $1,200 stimulus payment from Spring of this year contact the Department of Human Services by October 15th.

 

In State News, the Scranton Pennsylvania School District’s former Director of Operations and Superintendent, and the current Maintenance Supervisor were all charged with Felony Child Endangerment after allegedly covering up revelations that their schools had dangerous levels of lead and asbestos.
