Last year’s Crawford Gives Day helped raise over $160,000 for dozens of charity and nonprofit organizations in Crawford County in just a 24 hour period. This year in 2020 Crawford Gives Day is twice as big, including over 100 organizations and lasting for 48 hours. The United States Census Bureau has plans to end data collection for the 2020 Census a month early in September this year. About 65% of Pennsylvania’s households have responded to the 2020 Census, the results of which affect everything from Congressional Representation to funding for schools in our hometowns. Every person residing primarily in the state can be counted regardless of citizenship or employment; visit PA.gov/census for more information or to even fill out your 2020 Census online in about 10 minutes.

 

Free pressure canner gauge testing will be available on Monday August 10th at Penn State Extension in Crawford County from 11AM to 1PM. Accurate pressure is important for preserving many of the summer harvest garden crops such as green beans and corns or canned meats.
